The Fountain approach: assessment before treatment
Most aesthetic medicine is sold from a menu. Fountain reverses the order: your skin is assessed, the concern is named, and the treatment follows from the diagnosis.
Similar-looking concerns can need different treatment
Surgical precision, natural aesthetic results.
Melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and sun damage can look nearly identical across a room and respond to completely different treatments, one of which can make another worse. Naming it correctly is the difference between a result and a setback.
That is why every plan at Fountain starts with a physician assessment. Your skin is examined under magnification and, where useful, photographed, before any device or syringe is chosen.
It also means the honest answer is sometimes no. If a treatment will not move the thing that bothers you, we will say so rather than sell it.
What goes into every treatment plan
A dermatology practice
Fountain operates inside Rejuvenation Dermatology's clinic, with medical dermatology in the same building.
Physician assessment
Your skin is examined under magnification by a physician before treatment is selected. The concern is diagnosed, not guessed at.
Prescription-grade product
Neuromodulators, hyaluronic acid fillers, biostimulators and medical peels are prescribed and administered, not retailed over a counter.
A device chosen for your skin
A laser that suits Fitzpatrick II can cause lasting pigmentation in Fitzpatrick V. Platform and settings are selected for your skin type, every time.
Complications managed in-house
Vascular occlusion, burns and post-inflammatory pigmentation are rare. When they happen, they are managed on site, immediately, by clinicians trained for them.
Five steps from consultation to follow-up
Consultations are unhurried and diagnostic. You leave with a written plan and a quote.
Consultation
Your skin is examined and we talk through what bothers you day to day and, just as importantly, what you want left alone. Nothing is booked unless you want it to be.
Diagnosis
The concern is named properly before a treatment is attached to it. Where it matters, we will tell you what we are ruling out.
The plan
A sequenced plan with realistic timelines, honest limits and full costs, including which parts are optional and which can wait.
Treatment
Many treatments can be performed the same day if you would like. You receive written aftercare instructions.
Review and refinement
Injectable patients are seen again at roughly two weeks. Device treatments are reassessed at the interval appropriate to the protocol.
Treatment for every skin type (Fitzpatrick I–VI)
Treatment can be safe for darker skin tones, provided the platform and settings are chosen for your Fitzpatrick type.
Several widely used resurfacing lasers carry a genuine risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation in skin of colour. Fountain selects devices, such as fractional radiofrequency, which delivers energy below the pigment-bearing surface layer, so treatment can be offered across the full Fitzpatrick range.
