Laser hair removal
Laser hair removal offers long-term hair reduction. At Fountain, the platform and settings are selected for your skin type, including darker Fitzpatrick types.
How laser hair removal works
The laser targets pigment in the hair follicle, damaging it and reducing regrowth. Hair grows in cycles, so a series of sessions is needed.
Laser works best on dark hair. Very light, grey or red hair responds poorly. Results are long-term reduction rather than guaranteed permanent removal.
- Unwanted hair on the face or body
- Ingrown hairs and razor bumps
- Irritation from shaving or waxing
A physician assesses your skin and hair type, and any hormonal causes of excess hair. Treatment uses our laser hair removal platform, with settings matched to your skin.
Consultation, treatment and follow-up
Consultation
A physician assesses your skin and goals and confirms this treatment is the right fit, including for your Fitzpatrick skin type.
Treatment day
Preparation, comfort measures and the treatment itself are explained in advance. You receive written aftercare instructions.
Review
Results are reviewed at an interval suited to the treatment, and the plan is refined from there.
Cost depends on the area and the number of sessions, so it is quoted at consultation once a plan exists. [PRICE: confirm whether to publish a starting price] Results vary between individuals.
